Original publisher's grey buckram-backed cloth boards with Levine's printed gilt signature on upper cover lettered gilt on spine. Presentation copy: 'For the Masters & the Bells with best combined Christmas wishes from John & ? & C. A. G. 1970.' C. A. G. are the initials of the author Catherine Atwater Galbraith (1913 Ð 2008) who was Galbraith's wife. David Levine (1926 Ð 2009) the artist and illustrator, is best known for his highly influential caricatures that appeared in the New York Review of Books. John Kenneth Galbraith (1908 Ð 2006) an economist and diplomat was a leading proponent of 20th century American Liberalism. Several white marks where the dust jacket has been attached to the covers, a small area on lower covers has dust jacket still attached, a few closed tears and light wear to dust jacket, otherwise very good.
