First Printing. The first volume in the author's lovely series of medieval adventures for children. As well as being a cast member of the Monty Python team and accomplished film director Jones was also a medieval historian and used his expertise to great effect in these stories. A lovely copy, pushed at the crown a little but otherwise a superb fresh example. Fine in Fine dustjacket. SIGNED and dated ("2000) by the author for the seller in person. Scarce thus.
