Item description from seller

First edition. 12mo. Publisher's printed pictorial card wrappers, spine sunned, signed and dated to front free endpaper. 47, [1]pp. Paris, Imprimerie Union, A desirable signed copy of this first edition.   Five of the poems in this collection by the Jamaica-born poet, documentary film-maker, author and educator Lebert Sandy Bethune, had appeared in the 1965 issue of the influential Presence Africaine, a testament to Bethune's deep involvement in the pan-Africanism movement at the time.   He is a known associate of Malcolm X, and is credited with shooting the last film and interview of Malcolm X in Paris. His documentary Malcolm X: the struggle for Freedom was released in 1967.   While the work is widely held in institutions, it's scarce in the trade - signed copies even more so.
