Item description from seller

Signed and inscribed by the first Director of the Frick Collection in Manhattan, Frederick Mortimer Clapp, to art collector and critic Duncan Phillips on the first free end page. First edition, first printing. Text is unmarked, though the pages are yellowed and the page edges are age toned. The paper on the spine is missing completely; the binding is still sturdy. Covers are edgeworn; the upper corners of the covers are bumped with the upper corner of the back cover being quite mashed. The covers are faded around the edges. No dust jacket. 46pp.
