Signed First Edition, First Printing of this discussion of running by one of the key figures in the fitness revolution that drew millions of new joggers to American roadways and trails in the last quarter of the 20th century, Jim Fixx. Fixx's first book of book of running -- the iconic Complete Books of Running -- became a bestseller of stunning proportions after its publication in the late 1970s and the spur for Americans to lace up their shoes and pound out miles. But, apparently, it wasn't quite, leading Fixx to trot in with additional running wisdom in this volume. Signed by Jim Fixx on a front endpaper. 239 pages, illustrated. Has some foxing on the top page edge and a bit of edge wear on the dust jacket. Minimal sign of previous use.
