First edition of this classic Faulkner novel, which explores the lives of a family of characters in the South. Octavo, original cloth. Association copy, inscribed by the author on the front free endpaper, "For Sally Burns William Faulkner 16 April." The recipient Sallie Faulkner Burns was WilliamÂFaulknerâs first cousin and was a great friend to Maud,ÂWilliamâs mother. This was given to her byÂFaulkner and has remained in the family until now. Near fine in a near fine dust jacket with a touch of rubbing. Jacket design by E. McKnight Kauffer. Housed in a custom half morocco clamshell box.
