A fine copy of a limited, advance edition. This is an interesting copy as it comes from the private collection of the the actor Paul Scofield. There is an inscription from the author to Scofield, whom he greatly admired, on the front free end paper 'For Paul with love from Graham, Christmas 1962'. Paperback with title on spine, Issued without dust jacket. Binding is fine. Light discolouration to spine and minimal wear to edges. Pages bright and clean. This is one of 13 books / plays inscribed to Paul Scofield from their authors and 1 of 18 Greene first editions along with other books from Scofield's private collection that are on sale through this bookseller. We are two bibliophiles currently selling some of the books from the collection of the actor Paul Scofield. This includes many first editions signed and given to him by the authors as well as working copies of the many plays he performed in. There is a nice collection of books relating to his role as Sir Thomas More in the 1966 play 'A Man for all Seasons' We've tried to give as much detail as possible on the condition of our books but are more than happy to send more photos if required.
