124pp, bound in blue cloth, with the binding and hinges tight, includes a photograph of each actor. "These articles were first published in The Moving Picture World. Their aim was to give intimate pen pictures of the stars of the screen". Includes Douglas Fairbanks, Geraldine Farrar, Lillian Gish, Dorothy Gish, Nazimova, Mary Pickford, Gloria Swanson, along with others. Inscribed by the author on the front free endpaper "To Guy Fowler, with the best wishes of Edward Weitzel. New York, Sept. 17/23". Guy Fowler (1893-1966) was himself an actor. Light foxing to the covers, with light staining to the back cover, interior is in very good condition.
