First printing of Ginsberg's journals (1962-63) from his time in India. SIGNED by Ginsberg on the front endpaper without inscription. Included is a handwritten note on decorated paper from Finnish poet Anselm Hollo (1934-2013). Hollo asks Ginsberg to write a review that will interest Allan Komblum, founder of Coffee House Press, in publishing his book. Near fine in a very good dustjacket. Not priceclipped and no markings. Someone, quite possibly Ginsberg himself, has handprinted "ALLEN" before "GINSBERG" on the jacket spine and added "CITY LIGHTS" to the lower portion, suggesting this may well have been Ginsberg's personal copy.
