Subtitle: "Memoirs of a Country 'Vet'". Published in 1940 by Waverly House, Boston. Signed and inscribed by the author on first blank endsheet in December 1947 (see photos; note: book was obtained already signed). Hard cover with dust jacket (DJ). See photos for condition. DJ is wrapped in a plastic film. DJ has edgewear - whitening, ripping, creasing, and small bits missing from top and bottom edges and corners. DJ is toning and darkening, most apparent on back. Hard cover boards are firm. Fabric on boards appears to have some foxing - spotted discoloration. Fabric on board corners has a bit of wear. Binding loosening with age but holding together well - some widening in gutters in place (see photos for example). Otherwise, text block appears to be in excellent shape. Pages appear clean and clear of highlighting, writing, markings, underlining, or notable damage (e.g., significant ripping, creasing, or staining, or pages missing).
