First edition of this set, which was issued in two states. This the deluxe edition, one of 60 copies printed on Japanese vellum paper, Imperial Folio, extra large. This copy is numbered 59 and although unstated this is signed by the author Ernest Law. The contents are generally very good, but the cover not so. Presumably issued in portfolio format with some sort of outer cloth protective covers which are now lacking. The original wrappers are present but quite chipped and separated at the spine, now two. Measures around 23 x 16. With 32 pages of descriptive text and 10 plates. There is some browning to the edges of the paper.
