Add to basketFirst UK Edition. SIGNED COPY. Publisher's black boards with silver lettering to the spine. 283 pp + 3 pages of adverts for other Cheyney titles. Boards bright and clean. No inscriptions. A near fine copy (dusty top edge) in a dustwrapper which is browned to the spine, worn at the spine tips, and chipped (without affecting any lettering) to the top right-hand corner of the back panel and the top left-hand corner of the front panel. To the verso of the dustwrapper are several, old, historic repairs. From the collection of TAGE LA COUR (1915-1993) with his book-plate to the front paste-down who was the co-author of: The Murder Book: An Illustrated History of the Detective Story. Signed by the Author (without dedication) to the title page. Great cover art by PISANI. Further photographs available upon request.
