A foundational cornerstone of North Texas history. This 1931 first printing provides the definitive early account of Wichita Falls, from its frontier origins to its development as a major Texas hub. This copy is uniquely distinguished by a personal inscription and signature from Jonnie Morgan: "Uncle Dick with modest love, Jonnie" on the front free endpaper.
Why This Copy is a Collector?s Essential:
Bibliographic Prestige: Officially cited in Adams Six-Guns (1544), making it a "must-have" for serious collectors of Western Americana and Texas outlaw history.
Richly Illustrated: Contains 144 historic photographs and illustrations documenting early life, local architecture, and pioneer figures in the region.
Authenticity: Published by The Economy Co. in Oklahoma City, this is the true first edition in its original decorative fabricoid binding.
Condition Report:
Binding: Original fabricoid remains sturdy. Showing honest shelf wear to the edges and spine ends consistent with its age.
Note on Condition: The rear board has a corner bend with an old scotch tape repair.
