A very scarce presentation copy of the first edition of this history of this Gloucestershire village. First edition of The History of Bagendon by George Edward Rees in the original paper covered boards.A presentation copy, signed to the publication page, and signed and inscribed to the first free endpaper, dated 1935, 'Like the author, a lover of history'.Illustrated with a monochrome plate as the frontispiece and a few illustrations throughout the text. Collated, complete.A lovely brief history of this region of Gloucestershire. In the original paper covered boards. Externally, smart. There is some light bumping to the head and tail of the spine and to the extremities. The boards are slightly age toned. Internally, firmly bound. The pages are bright and clean with some light spotting. Very Good.
