INSCRIBED BY THE AUTHOR IN 1955 TO THE FRONT FREE END-PAPER. Publisher's grey textured boards with title in gilt to blue block to the spine with author and publisher also in gilt. Boards bright and clean. Offsetting to both sets of end-papers and evidence of tape residue caused by an old dustwrapper protector. Inscribed by the Author to the front free end-paper: "To Angela Kay/ my very precious/ collaborator/My very sincere/ Wishes/ Jean Conil/ 16.2.53". The dustwrapper is price-clipped to the front flap but otherwise is a bright and clean VG++ copy. Uncommon, inscribed. Photographs/scans available upon request.
