A fine first English edition, first impression, of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, triple signed by J.K. Rowling, Jack Thorne, and John Tiffany in black ballpoint pen on the title-page. Rowlings official hologram is affixed to the lower left-hand corner of the facing page. Only the first and sixteenth impressions of Cursed Child are known to have been signed by all three authors, with very few first impression copies distributed by the publisher to major bookstores who offered them out as competition prizes-they were never made available for retail sale. This particular copy was one of five received by Waterstones, who auctioned them to raise funds for Beatson West of Scotland Cancer Hospital. It was retained by the winning bidder for nine years before being sold in 2025. Octavo (234 x 150 mm), 343 pp. Original black boards with yellow cloth spine, gilt-stamped lettering with Cursed Child logo in gilt to the front board. Complete with dust jacket, priced £20.00. fine condition, very minor bumping to the top corner of the front and rear boards. The book is unread with bright boards, clean pages, no inscriptions and no bruising to the spine tips. Authenticated by J.K. Rowling signature expert Adam Houston of The Harry Potter Specialist, the book comes with a Letter of Authenticity (LoA) and a collector’s card providing additional interesting details. Hopused in a custom-made half-leather clamshell box. Notes: The production premiered at the Palace Theatre in Londons West End in 2016 to critical acclaim, before moving on to Broadway and winning six Tony Awards, including Best Play. In response to overwhelming fan demand, particularly from readers unable to attend the London performances. Little, Brown released the script in book format on 31 July 2016, the day after the plays official opening night and coinciding with Harry Potter's (and Rowlings) birthday. The first printing consisted of 850,000 copies and only an extremely limited number were signed by all three contributors. …
