Very Good+ hardcover with fading to the spine and front in a Very Good matching slipcase with a mounted plate to the front with fading along the sides and to the front, a one-inch scratch to the cloth, indents/scratches to the plate, and a three-inch black mark to the fore edge of one board; no dj as issued. BOOKS SHIP THE NEXT BUSINESS DAY, WRAPPED IN PADDING, IN A BOX. The first monograph dealing exclusively with Callahan's color work. There is a plate mounted to the ffep that reads: "This special book, bound from the press proof sheets, and containing plates that were not in the regular edition, is limited to sixty copies. This is copy number 30." The plate is SIGNED BY TOW, the editor. Other differences between this and the regular edition: there are 2 additional images and a total of 7 different images; the titles on the half-title and title page are in black rather than black and color; the endpapers are a much heavier weight and a different color; and the spine titling is handled differently. Photographs and texts by Harry Callahan; essays by Jonathan Williams and A.D. Coleman; edited by Robert Tow and Ricker Winsor; portrait of the photographer by Winsor.
