New York: The Derrydale Press, 1939, #727 of 1,250, Signed by Author on special half title page, 240p. First Edition with nine plates by Churchill Ettinger. An undetermined number of copies with a specially prepared half-title and slipcase were produced for the Clove Valley Rod and Gun Club in 1942, issued with a glassine dust jacket. Includes the story "The Fog Blew Over The Mountain" a great salmon fishing story. Beige burlap spine with title label, pale blue cloth covers with gilt title, with a mylar dust jacket and green felt type slipcase with title, author and "Clove Valley Rod & Gun Club 1942 in gilt. A Very Good+ copy with light wear the special half-title is tipped in and Signed by the Author. Mylay jacket has a couple of short tears and one old scotch tape repair. Slipcase is rubbed, and with soiling, gilt title is very dull, sunned at spine and top and bottom, sunned along edges, tips are a little worn, gilt title is dull. A Clean Tight Copy See Photos.
