About this Item
45 pp., foreword, appendix. Two hundred copies of this limited edition were produced, this being #134. A fine, tight, sharp cornered, unmarked copy in a fine, bright, unfaded, unblemished, unclipped dust jacket. SIGNED AND NUMBERED BY THE ANNOTATER JOHN D. GILCHRIESE with no inscriptions. The text of this book is taken from John P. Clum's 1929 article in the Arizona Historical Review, now a very scarce item. In an innovative approach John Gilchriese annotated Clum's article, providing the reader with a much more interesting and informative narrative of the events that took place in Tombstone on October 26, 1881. Gilchriese gives the reader sixty-eight informative annotations! Selected in 1966 by the prestigious Rounce & Coffin Club of Los Angeles for it's innovative design it remains, perhaps, Gilchrieses' most important contribution, among many, to the Tombstone field of study. John Gilchriese passed away on May 18, 2004. Six Guns #445, Adams 150 #30. AN EXCEPTIONAL CONDITION COPY!. Seller Inventory # 006525
