First Edition (first printing). This copy signed by Hugh Casson on the title page. Slim 8vo. 48pp. Paper-covered boards. With a colour frontispiece and four colour plates. Top edge and several preliminary leaves lightly spotted. Backstrip ends fractionally rubbed else a very good copy. No dust wrapper called for. Betjeman contributes the seven-page essay 'Colour and the Interior Decorator' which he concludes with seven 'general rules', the final and certainly most important of which is "Avoid most shades of brown". Casson contributes the six-page essay 'Colour and the Architect'. Extremely scarce, and much more so signed. Seller Inventory # GAM162
