Just starting to fray at the crown. SIGNED and INSCRIBED by Comstock to W A Stocking. In print since 1911 it still is the standard publication in the field. She both wrote and illustrated several books including illustrating her husband's. She is famous for bringing her students and other teachers outdoors to study nature. W A Stocking was an author and scholar authoring books on the science of dairy production. He was the longest continuously serving president of the American Dairy Science Association from 1916-1918. He guided the association through years of decision in an America in unrest. Scarce thus.
