12mo. 196 pages. Hardcover with a light brown dust jacket. The jacket shows some rubbing and edge wear and has some chipping along the top edges of the front and rear panels. Book is sound and clean. INSCRIBED AND SIGNED by the author on the front flyleaf, "With sincerest wishes for every success in life. / Your friend, / Archie Swanson Beverley / June 26, 1955". Illustrated with several photos. Stated First Edition. Archie Swanson Beverley was born in Whitell (Pittsylvania County), Virginia and studied at Randolph-Macon Woman's College before teaching in Big Stone Gap in Virginia. She ended up back in Whitmell where she focused on education for rural communities.

Store description

Pages Past is a small used and antiquarian bookshop holding 10,000-15,000 volumes. We are located a few blocks from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Most of our books are hardback, although we have a few bookcases of paperbacks with recent fiction and classic literature represented. We also have a fairly good collection of Eastern Philosophy & Religion (Buddhism, Taoism, Hinduism) as well as New Age. Most of these are recent paperbacks in nice condition. We have a good collection of antiquarian books in the fields of Americana, old leather bound books, and early religious and scholarly books. Shop hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays. We're closed on Sundays. We are always interested in buying quality books in very good condition.…
