P3 - A first edition (stated) hardcover book SIGNED and inscribed by author to previous owner (Geological Society of Londond) on the middle of the half-title page in very good condition that has some bumped corners and cover edgewear, some stains and smudge on the page edges, small patch stain on the lower spine, previous owner's plate adhered on the front fixed endpaper, previous owner's stamping on the opposite side of the front free endpaper, some written info crossed out on the upper part of the half-title page, light tanning and shelf wear with no dust jaclet. Dark maroon covered boards with gilt lettering and design. Illustarted map endpapers, 17 black and white plates, preface, bibliography, and index. Ivor Thord-Gray (born Thord Ivar Hallström) (April 17, 1878 - August 18, 1964) was a Swedish-born adventurer, sailor, prison guard, soldier, government official, police officer, rubber plantation owner, ethnologist, linguist, investor, and author. He participated in thirteen wars spanning the continents of Africa, Asia, North America, and Europe. This book is book about his experiences in the Mexican Revolution. 9.5"x6.5", 487 pages.
