The Grandmother is a wonderful collection of novellas by the Nobel Prize winning author, Doris Lessing. This is the second printing of the first US edition in hardcover with dustjacket, price is intact. Lessing has signed the book on the title page, beneath her printed name. Book appears unread, but has a previous name scribbled out on front pastedown and a date written below Some dings to edges of boards as well as bruised tips. Jacket is nice with some edgewear and tears to corners and sticker residue to lower spine. Rather uncommon signature from towering literary figure. Looks better than it sounds.

Store description
I have been collecting books for 30 years and have recently turned my passion into an online bookstore. I specialize in literary first editions, US politics, and poetry, but I have a knack for finding interesting and unusual books in all areas. Each book is hand selected and come from multiple sources. Consequently, I believe it is important to describe the books in as much detail as possible. Books are now stored in a smoke-free home. I am adding to my collection everyday, so please return frequently and let me know if there is a special book you would like me to look for.
