Howell" under photographic frontispiece; specific inscription on front free endpaper: "To Harry Clifton Byrd, President, University of Maryland, With highest personal regards from the author, William R. Howell." Octavo; xiii + 199pp, including bibliography. One map + six photographs of significant historical buildings. Pasted-in errata slip. Navy blue cloth with gold lettering on spine Boards show slight wear to corners; one small button-sized stain (paint?) on front panel. Brown endpapers have tanned adjacent white pages; textblock very lightly tanned throughout. President Byrd of Howell's gift inscription is the honoree of "Byrd Stadium" on the University of Maryland Campus. Seller Inventory # 002659
