1st Edition 1985. Includes an original handwritten letter/envelope from the author. Inscribed two sided Letter from Iris Murdoch to Penelope and Ralph Tanner. A letter thanking them for the interesting letter about the book. The Tanners were close friends and neighbours of Murdoch and Bayley in Steeple Ashton, Oxfordshire (Penelope Tanner was also the biographer of the writer Ethel M. Dell and Dr Ralph Tanner, a social anthropologist who was Evelyn Waugh?s batman in 1942. Undated. Size 178mm x 138mm Condition is very good. Book is near fine and bright. Contents good. All overseas orders with priority shipping (8 days+) will be sent by either tracked airsure or international signed for. The slower postal rates (14 days +) will be sent by standard airmail and will take longer to arrive.
