Enhanced with an introduction by Bernard Darwin. Original light green cloth with gilt lettering. Light general wear, cover edge rubbing, spine fade, light pastedown offset. THIS FIRST EDITION COPY IS INSCRIBED "COMPLIMENTS AND BEST WISHES" AND SIGNED IN FULL BY CONTRIBUTOR P. MACKENZIE ROSS ON FFEP. Ahead of his time, a picture in the book shows a P. MacKenzie Ross designed and built 'concentrated golf course built on a rubbish heap'. Contents clean and unmarked. A nice copy of a book that often appears well-used. This 'bible' would be revised and enlarged in 1950. Scarce. Covers protected Size: 4to - over 9¾" - 12" tall.
