Signed limited first edition of this lavishly produced autobiographical memoir of George Harrison, an exquisitely packaged confection of thoughts, memories, snapshots and, above all, lyrics (Daily Telegraph). With 17 in-text illustrations, 49 photographic plates, including one folding, and facsimiles of original manuscript lyrics for 83 songs with their origin told in Harrison's own words. The book marked a pivotal point for the Beatles, as "Lennon took offence at being left out of the book altogether. Harrison made an unsuccessful attempt to contact him to discuss this grievance. That December, Lennon was shot dead. Now the Beatles really were history; there could be no reunion" (ODNB). Limited to 2,000 copies signed by Harrison to the colophon, this being number 840. Housed in the original slipcase and white paper dust wrapper with the publisher's letter to the subscriber laid in. Surrey, Guildford: Genesis Publications Ltd., 1980.
