1 page printed order, dated August 7th, 1865 from the Head-Quarters (late)1st Brigade, 4th Division. Addressed to the comrades of the Cavalry Corps, announcing the end of the war. "Confident that when again required, you will be as ready to take the carbine and sabre as you now are to abandon them." The order was once folded into thirds, and one edge is worn with minor soiling, and with several small tears and creases. Size: 12mo - over 6� - 7�" tall.
