Profusely illustrated with black and white captioned photos. Folding map at rear of volume. Green cloth with green letters on the front cover and the spine. Some wear to extremities with nothing rubbed through, bottom of spine just barely beginning to fray, pages browning as usual, previous owner's rubber stamp on title page, folding map intact, else very good to near fine with no internal markings. No dust jacket. This book comprises a history of oblate missionary work in Canadian north-west from 1845, with information on Indians, Eskimos, and the fur trade.
