First edition of this look at the life of the painter and ceramicist, whose work has often been overshadowed by her relationship with Picasso. Light mottling to cloth, else a VG+ copy with minor buckling to upper and lower edges of text block, in a VG only jacket with foxing and spotting to front panel and to verso; small piece of paper affixed to rear jacket panel, with minor crimping to spine tips and jacket edges, but a sound copy overall. This copy has been INSCRIBED on the title page with a striking original pen drawing by Gilot, and signed by her underneath.
