First Edition (Crown Publishers, NAP until 1980). Signed and inscribed on the first front end paper 'Nov 1, 1975, For Irwin Gans, Very best wishes for matched hatches, Doug Swisher.' As you can see from the photos, the covers are exceptionally clean. There is little to no wear, perhaps a little crinkling at the spine ends. The corners and edges are in excellent shape. The silver lettering on the spine is very bright. The page edges are very clean. The book is square and very solidly bound from cover to cover, nicely tight pages, no binding issues. The interior the book is in terrific shape. I'm scrolling through the pages without finding any instances of soiling. That includes the inside covers and end papers. I'm not seeing any creasing or dogeared corners. There are no markings. No attachments of any kind. And with the exception of the author's signed inscription, no one has written their name or anything else anywhere in the book. There are a great many illustrations throughout the book, some are drawings, some are photographs. All are in excellent condition. You can see the dust jacket in the first few photos. I've had it in a fitted protective cover for as long as I've owned the book. I'm removing it now because the fitted cover has a few scratches on it, and because I want to get a better look at the dust jacket. The dust jacket is very clean. It has a few instances of wear, a tear off the top edge of the spine that goes a little bit onto the front of the jacket. There's also a scuff with a pinprick hole down ways on the spine, and there's a little scuff near the bottom edge of the rear cover. The flaps are in very good condition, no tears, no wear. The jacket is NOT price-clipped, not clipped at all. I'll refit it with a new protective cover. Seller Inventory # 002536
