A folded pamphlet including a single long poem printed on pages which is displayed in a zigzag fashion from the cover, forming the image of a snake from the printed columns of text. Written by Tony Harrison, an English poet, translator and playwright. Designed, illustrated, printed, and bound by Michael Christopher Caine, an English artist, publisher, and traditional typographer. In the original quarter cloth binding with paper covered boards. Externally, very smart with the odd small mark to the boards. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean throughout. Fine.
