Small 4to. Beige cloth spine with blue lettering and red paper over boards, pictorial dust jacket. viii, 244pp. Illustrations. Very good/very good. Mild binding and jacket edgewear. Tight, quite nice first edition of this account of Chicago's first female mayor -- this copy boldly inscribed and signed in black ballpoint on front flyleaf by this husband-and-wife journalistic team: She writes "For Tom & Cassie -- / Love & thanks for / the good times. / 5/22/81 / Lori Granger" and below this he too signs, adding the same date. Bill Granger (1941-2012) was a well-known Chicago reporter and novelist. Tom Hollatz was a Chicago crime reporter, John Dillinger scholar and author of "Gangster Holidays: The Lore and Legends of the Bad Guys" (1987).
