Cover spotted, spine lettering partially obliterated, front free endpaper missing, contents lightly age-toned, preliminaries foxed and occasional light foxing to text. Front endpaper is inscribed to Col. Townsend, and signed by the author. Verso is inscribed in pencil, in a different handwriting, partially illegible.
