Dark green pebbled cloth with titles and flying duck stamped in gilt to front board. Grade it "very good" with some modest rub along both sides of spine. Signed "Roger T. Peterson" diagonally across the author's printed name to title page in his elegant distinctive hand, name only. (This is a "live" fountain-pen signature -- the ink can be seen to have bled through to the verso.) Page 27 and adjoining B&W plate ("Diving ducks") were once torn, previous owner has repaired them competently, the plate with what appears to be "Scotch Magic" tape to blank verso, the text page without tape, probably with a suitably spare application of archival adhesive. Later state of the first edition -- 1934 to copyright page but no date to title page. NO tissue guards to the four color plates; NO dust jacket. (Captions for the color plates appear on facing unnumbered pages.) Spelling of "Bog-pumper" has been corrected in the index. 167 pp. including Index. Reduced from $2,500. Seller Inventory # 009813
