48 p. 28.5 cm. Signed by Author Sound binding in centre-stapled, cardstock covers. A little very light wear to the edges and corner tips. Minor soil on covers. Except for the author's inscription, the inside pages are clean and unmarked. A collection of forty portraits painted by the author/illustrator which feature notable men and women who have historical connections to the Great Pine Ridge area of Ontario. This area extends from Durham Region through Northumberland County and was named as such as a holiday destination back in the 1960's. The black and white portraits appear to have been created with pastels and charcoal and includes such people as Catharine Parr Traill, Marie Dressler, Charles Trick Currelly, Rt. Hon Vincent Massey, Sir John A. MacDonald and Paul Kane. Inscribed by the author/illustrator to a previous owner on the first blank page.
