A collection of essays divided into several sections, books that influenced Russell in his youth, politics and education, personal essays including a couple of his dreams, and peace and war. Russell was one of the most important logicians of the 20th century and won the Nobel Prize in literature. 317 pages. First American edition (first published in 1961 in London). A very good copy in a very good supplied dust jacket, with a good jacket, with several tears and snags below. This copy is inscribed by the author, "To Victor Minasian from Bertrand Russell." Minasian would go on to a long career as an academic at the College of Marin.
