1949, first edition thus. Previously appeared in the periodical 'Blue Book' in 1940. #40 of 100 signed, numbered, limited edition copies. Signed by author Nelson Bond at the limitation page. Additionally inscribed by Bond at FFEP, with explanation that the jacket never did fit the book. Black cloth hardcover with gold titles at spine, very good+ with light rubbing. Spine square. Binding sound. Dust jacket toned, lightly scuffed, with large chip (~ 1in x 2in) from lower fore-edge corner of rear panel, else very good in Mylar. Cover price $3.00. DJ was wrapped around the book a little off-center. Interior lightly age-toned, clean and unmarked.
