1965 FIRST PRINTING of FIRST USA EDITION. SIGNED (no inscription) by Dr. Hornbein on the title page. This is the true 1965 first printing of the book, one of the great classics of Everest books. Original gray cloth, gilt lettering spine and front cover, illustrated EPs. This book is in excellent condition with no writing or marks by previous owners on any pages, no rubbing, clean, solid binding, sharp corner tips. The original dust jacket is present and in much better than average condition for this book. The dust jacket on the book offered here is clean and bright with minor yellowing to spine which seems to be common. There is a tiny 5mm tear on top rear edge, two 2cm tears in margin of inside front flap, very minor rubbing rear cover photo (rear cover photo is often very rubbed), original printed price present on front flap corner, much cleaner and brighter that usual, no chips, no repairs. This is a folio size book measuring 35cm tall x 26cm, and has 201 pages, 89 glossy color plates. BIG BOOK: EXTRA POSTAGE required for international shipping. PHOTOS ARE OF THE ACTUAL BOOK BEING OFFERED.…
