This is a small press reprint of the Author's self-published 1894 pamphlet of random biographical facts, written to satisfy the child-like questions to which he seemed to be perennially pestered with by fans of his work. An engaging Introduction by his friend and fellow author Francis Wilson, acts, in part, as a bibliography. Eugene Field (1850-1895) Chicago journalist and contributor of humorous essays, known as "The Poet of Childhood," for works such as "Little Boy Blue." A really nice bit of typography. OCLC 635632. BAL 5822. Signed on Limitation page by publisher F.M. Morris [The Old Bookshop] Limited Edition No. 138/150 copies on Japan paper.
