SIGNED - Octavo. Black cloth covered boards and spine with bright orange and shiny gilt lettering on the spine and shiny gilt lettering on the front board. Nearly unnoticable bump at the head and tail of the spine and a trace of lightening of the cloth at the very bottom of the tail of the spine. Ochre colored endpapers. Signed by the author on the title page in blue pen. Binding is straight and tight; pages are all clean, white, and crisp. 374 pages. Dust Jacket - has a nearly unnoticable rub at the head of the spine and a very faint wrinkle along the upper edge of the rear cover next to the tip of the upper rear corner (about 3/4" long). A beautiful signed first. Polish-born Singer would go on to win the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1978. Seller Inventory # 001751
