About this Item

London: Michael Joseph, 1969. First edition, first printing. This is a very good copy. The dust jacket has a spot of surface loss to the front panel, a touch of sunning at the spine and some light shelf wear at the edges. It has not been price clipped (25s net). There is one mild bump to the head of the spine, but the cloth is otherwise bright and free from notable marks. The top edge is foxed, and there are very sparse spots to the side and bottom edges. To the front fly leaf, Dick Francis signs his name with very best wishes and dates the inscription to October 1969 the date and year of the book s publication. Overall, this is a very good copy, notable for the author s signature and inscription. The author s ninth novel. It was adapted for the radio by the BBC, and starred Tony Osoba, Robert Lang and Bill Nighy.
