Add to basketLimited first edition, one of 25 examples given to the author of this Nebula and Hugo award-winning novel. Octavo, bound in black leather with gilt titles to the spine, marbled endpapers, illustrated with a full-color plate. One of only 225 copies signed by Orson Scott Card on the limitation page, of which 200 were released to the trade, and 25 lettered copies were reserved to the author and publisher. This is letter M/25. In fine condition. Housed in the original publisher's black leatherette slipcase. An exceptional example. The Ender's Game was Card's break-out novel, who "exploded onto the science fiction scene with his first published story, 'Ender's Game' for Analog in 1977â ¦ [It] served as the germ for the Ender series, the first two volumes of which, published [in] 1985 and 1986â ¦ clearly established [Card] as one of the two or three dominant figures of recent science fictionâ ¦ The Ender saga stands as one of the very few serious moral tales set among the stars" (Clute & Nicholls). Winner of the 1985 Nebula Award and the 1986 Hugo Award for best novel. It was basis for the 2013 film directed by Gavin Hood, starring Asa Butterfield, Harrison Ford, Hailee Steinfeld, and Viola Davis, with Abigail Breslin and Ben Kingsley.
