This copy warmly inscribed to Arts and Crafts philosopher, author and publisher Elbert Hubbard, founder of Roycroft and author of "A Message to Garcia," who perished aboard the RMS Lusitania. Previous owner J.J. Harpell's bookplate, egalitarian Canadian publisher, on front pastedown. This first edition with uncut pages. Red cloth boards with gilt titles on spine. Front board with small blemish and sunned at top, as is spine. Corners bumped and top of spine chipped a little. Pages are clean. List of John Lane fiction on pages in back. A Very Good copy overall.
