First edition. Wrappers with two illustrations by the author. Tall octavo. 173, [3 ads] pp. Printed wrappers over stapled textblock. Wrappers with shallow loss, some staining and toning, and tears at the edges, first and last pages modestly toned, about very good. The text is fine. Inscribed on the cover: "Walter, with the author's compliments & affectionate esteem." An uncommon pamphlet by the social reformer.
