Add to basketSigned Limited Edition book restricted to a run of 3500 copies, this being No. 3451. Leather slipcase in Fine condition. Small tear to endpaper, else Fine. Accompanied by Lithographic print, "Skybax Rider," released in 1992, signed and numbered by Gurney. This is No. 3282 out of 3500 copies. In Fine condition and measures 17x19. Both book and lithograph are in collectible condition and have become scarce. If you'd like, we can include all original publisher's boxes in your order. Gurney's paintings have been exhibited in the New York Society of Illustrators, the Cleveland Museum of Natural History, and the National Geographic Society. Gurney prides himself on portraying highly accurate illustrations and states, "I don't think of Dinotopia as a fantasy world to escape to, but rather as a real world to participate in. The Skybax is a depiction of Quetzalcoatlus, the largest of all flying reptiles." Each limited lithographic print was produced from the artist's original painting and was approved and signed by James Gurney. All plates and negatives used in the production of the print were destroyed, and this painting will never be reproduced in any other fine print art form.
