Item description from seller

Red Cloth. Good +/No Jacket. Hardback. Signed Presentation Copy. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. 127 pp ; four full page line drawings by Pricilla C. Houle; this book is an entertaing tongue-- in-- cheek"interpretation" of Harvard's history, by recounting stories from Harvard's eating and drinking 300 year history; and the student's rebellious side, riots and hell--raising, etc. There is more than food, drink, horseplay, and riot stories. Many of Harvard's traditions and customs origins, and annual events are explained, and the author claims all is based on as much fact as is available. An interesting and, I would say, entertaining book. This is a stated first edition, there is some spine fade, and the book edges are somewhat tanned, There is some light tanning (foxing) in the page margins throughout, else VG.
