A unique copy Inscribed to author, and professor John Fain who was friends with the Agrarians, close with Andrew Lytle at Vanderbilt and later with Harry Crews at Univ.of Florida. Fain has anotated nearly every page in pencil and apparently mailed the book to Partridge who intern commented on neary every page in ink and inscribed "To John Fain, who has so enriched this copy with his comments, corrections, additions, gratefully, Eric. Sorry! this implies that I had presented him the copy. His part is the nobler one of having purchased it. 28 February 1978 but not despatched until somewhat later.Sent to Professor John T Fain 3025 S.W. 1st ave, Gainesville Florida 32607 U.S.A." Fain authored "Ruskin and the Economists, and editor of Donald Davidson's 'The Spyglass: Views and Reviews 1924-1930'. A unique copy supplied with a newer jacket to cover the fair cover. This copy will be sent along with an inscribed copy of John Tyree Fain's "Literary Correspondence of Donald Davidson and Allen Tate.".
