facsimile manuscript; b&w figures; Large 8vo 9" - 10" tall; 342 pages; [SIGNED] 1985 Duke University Press. HC/DJ. First edition. Soundly bound and neat in pictorial dust jacket. Inscribed to a fellow historian and signed by the author on the half title page, along with the author's handwritten note of limitation " Copy 3 of 800; cerified RH." Inscription recipient's bookplate to the front pastedown. Jacket shows mild shelf evidence to edges and a small faint spill stain front panel. Illustrated with some b&w reproductions and facsimile leaves from Ingham's Diary. VG+/VG+ ; Signed by Author.
